The Young Politicians of America is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization committed to encouraging young Americans to enter public life. It is our role as the future leaders of America and the world to stay dedicated to John F. Kennedy's timeless call for public service more than 30 years ago: "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country."

This call for service has been answered by many young Americans, and has been translated into action through community service. While the amount of community service young Americans perform is laudable, voting rates among our generation demonstrate a waning interest in civic life. As CEO of YPA, I hope to act as an ambassador to all of those interested in playing a greater role in bridging the gap between community service and public service.

The first step must be taken now to prepare America's youth for a journey to explore and strive towards our limitless limit of potential. A renewed courage must energize the youth of this country to conquer the pessimism that has plagued our government and our beloved institutions. This battle begins with the youth, and is one that will never end. The war to keep freedom and citizenship alive will be won by realizing how precious this dream is. We at the YPA realize this dream, and ask for you to join us in making it a reality.
